Thousands of Tomcats attack children in Indramayu, around the eyes and mouth with bite wounds

INDRAMAYU, KOMPAS.com – Thousands of Tomcats suddenly attacked the residents of Pabean Udik, Indramayu, West Java.

Ironically, Tomcat does not attack adults but children and the eyes and mouth are injured due to its bites.

In giving a statement, Rantinih (20), a resident of Pabean Udik, revealed that thousands of Tomcats attacked children at night.

He didn’t know why the Semai ants came by the thousands and attacked the children.

“I don’t know the cause. I think there are thousands of them. And when they bite them, they hurt, sting and burn,” Rantinih said on Tuesday (1/9/2020).

He explained that the attack had 10 children as victims. Most of them complain of pain and stinging in the wound due to the bite.

It has also felt the arrival of thousands of Tomcats for a week, more precisely on Thursday (8/27/2020).

“Initially, we wake up early in the morning and just when there are thousands (Tomcats) out there. Then until now, it’s still there, especially when the lights are on, they (Tomcats) are there,” he said.

Thousands of Tomcats attacked and then bit them, residents have taken steps to anticipate spraying with insect liquid.

The local government has also verified and appealed to residents.

“I have. Someone has come from the officials. But they have not done anything, they only offer suggestions,” Rantinih said.

First aid when bitten by a Tomcat

The head of the Indramayu Health Service, West Java, Deden Bonni Koswara, discovered that residents and dozens of children have been bitten by Tomcats.

His party has verified and is currently collecting data on the victims.

“Yes, many have been affected, and for the moment we are still data,” said Deden, through his brief message while delivering a statement to Kompas.com.

According to Deden, when residents were attacked or bitten by a Tom cat, the first step was to compress the wound.

Because according to him, Tomcat’s bite has a pungent and painful taste.

“When bitten by a cat, do not squeeze the animal. Wash it immediately with soap and water and then apply a cold compress to avoid skin burns,” Deden said.

In addition, he explained, after the victim took the first step, he saw the reaction of the bite.

If the wound widens and does not improve, he explained, go immediately to the nearest health center or hospital.

“Then observe the reaction of the bite. If it widens or does not improve, you will be immediately admitted to the nearest health center,” concluded Deden.
