JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com – The spokesperson for the Covid-19 Working Group (Working Group) Wiku Adisasmito said that the number of areas with red zone status (high risk) increased significantly in the last week of August.
On the other hand, areas with green zone status or low risk are reduced,
Wiku relayed this in a press release on the Presidential Secretariat’s YouTube channel on Tuesday (1/9/2020).
“In the previous week there were 32 high-risk regencies / cities and now, as of August 30, it has risen a lot to 65 high-risk districts / cities,” Wiku said.

Meanwhile, the number of green zone areas decreased from 71 urban districts to 68 regencies and cities.
The number of areas previously unaffected by Covid-19 decreased from 30 urban districts to 26 urban districts.
Meanwhile, districts / cities with the status of the orange zone (medium) increased from 222 regencies / cities to 230 regencies / cities.
“Meanwhile, low-risk urban districts (yellow zone) fell from 189 city regencies to 151 city regencies,” he continued.
The Covid-19 pandemic has been in Indonesia for almost six months on Tuesday (1/9/2020). However, there are no signs of decreasing transmission of the corona virus.
The government claims that the transmission of the corona virus is still ongoing in the community until now.

In fact, the number of new Covid-19 cases continues to grow rapidly and still exceeds 2,000 patients.
According to the government as of Tuesday at 12.00 WIB, there were 2,775 new cases of Covid-19 in the last 24 hours.
The addition has caused Covid-19 cases in Indonesia to now number 177,571 people, as of the announcement of the first case on March 2, 2020.
This information was relayed by the Covid-19 Working Group through data sent to journalists on Tuesday afternoon. The data is also displayed on the Covid19.go.id website, which is updated every afternoon.
The government is trying to generate hope by announcing that more Covid-19 patients are recovering.
In one day, there are 2,098 recovered Covid-19 patients.
They were declared cured after examination by the polymerase chain reaction (PCR) method gave negative results for the corona virus.

Therefore, the total number of Covid-19 patients who were declared cured and are no longer infected with the corona virus now has 128,057 people.
However, there is still sad news with the increasing number of Covid-19 patients who have died.
In the period between August 31 and September 1, 2020, 88 patients with Covid-19 are known to have died.
Therefore, the death rate from Covid-19 in Indonesia has reached 7,505 people.
