Berhelm’s body in Singkawang was the victim of murder, the perpetrator was her husband

PONTIANAK, KOMPAS.com – The body of a woman who was found still wearing a helmet in the city of Singkawang, West Kalimantan, turned out to be a murder victim.

The perpetrator was the husband with the initials DP.

Singkawang Police Chief AKBP Prasetiyo Adhi Wibowo said the DP’s arrest took place at his relative’s home in Singkawang Central District on Tuesday (1/9/2020) morning.

“The arrest was made less than 24 hours after the victim’s body was found,” Prasetyo said.

Disclosure of the case began with a series of evidence and witness testimony that was obtained and led to a perpetrator.

“After they were picked up, the police acted quickly to arrest the perpetrator, who was none other than the victim’s husband,” Prasetyo said.

It was previously reported that the body of a woman still wearing a helmet was found in the bushes in Nara Village, North Singkawan District, Singkawang City, West Kalimantan, on Monday (8/31/2020).

The body was found wearing a brown T-shirt, red bra, blue and white panties, black pants with red trim, and a black helmet with brown trim.

“Then there was a stab with a sharp object stabbed to the left, an incision in the neck, when he found himself in a prone position, underwear and training pants parted between the groin,” said the police chief of Singkawang, AKBP Prasetyo Adhi Wibowo.

Prasetyo said the victim was estimated to be between 25 and 30 years old, 155 cm tall and 65 kilograms in weight.

Based on the witness testimony, the voices of women and men had a violent argument and spoke harsh words.

“The witness leaned out of the window, but did not dare to approach. The witness also saw the perpetrator dragging the motorcycle into the bush, shortly after the man left, ”Prasetyo said.
