Five Surabaya Electronic Store Fire Victims Found in Different Locations

KOMPAS.com – Five victims died from a fire in an electronics store in Jalan Kranggan, Surabaya, East Java, Sunday morning (8/30/2020), found in a different location.

The five victims died, namely Budi Susanto (33), Agus Susanto (35), Meiliana (60), A (15) and Eli (36).

Quoted from Surya.co.id, three victims were found in the middle room and the woman was found still hugging a cushion, as if still asleep, and another was found in the bathroom.

“One victim was found near an electrical measuring device,” Kasatreskrim Surabaya police AKBP Sudamiran said when confirmed by phone Sunday afternoon.

A victim who was found near the panel did not have a burned body. Apparently, the victim died because she was electrocuted and run over by a motorcycle.

“All four (bodily) conditions are physically burned,” Surabaya City Fire Service Chief Dedik Irianto was quoted as saying. Surya.co.id.

The five bodies of the store’s occupants have been evacuated to the Dr. Soetomo Hospital morgue in Surabaya for an autopsy.
