General Andika: It is better to lose 31 soldiers than to damage the name of TNI AD

jpnn.com, JAKARTA – The Army Chief of Staff (KSAD), General Andika Perkasa, emphasized that his staff thoroughly investigate the case of attack carried out by TNI personnel in the Ciracas Police and the Pasar Rebo Police, in East Jakarta on Saturday (8/29) early in the morning yesterday.

In fact, TNI AD headquarters has formed a team to handle the case.

The head of the field investigation team was detained by Danpuspomad Lieutenant General Dodik Wijanarko with cell phone number 0816998585. Then there was Colonel Yogaswara from Danpomjaya with cell phone number 082314197676.

“This is the head of the field investigation team. We sincerely request all the information that is known by members of the public and soldiers of the Indonesian Army about the perpetrators. We are waiting for the information on this cell phone number,” Andika said at a conference of Press at the Army Headquarters on Sunday (8/30).

He said that the investigation of this case is closely monitored by Puspomad every day. Any news in this case will be sent to Puspomad.

“So, we really hope the help of the community so that all those involved and responsible can be brought to the legal process,” Andika said.

Since the initial examination, 12 members of the TNI AD were questioned. In addition, 19 people are in the process of calling. Thus, a total of 31 members were examined.

Andika explained that, based on the results of the investigation, the members had complied with the violations in accordance with the articles of the Military Penal Code.
