TRIBUNNEWS.COM – The Chief of Staff of the Indonesian Army (KSAD), General Andika Perkasa, stated that 12 TNI soldiers who were questioned in connection with the attack on the Ciracas police headquarters in East Jakarta met the requirements to receive additional punishment in the form of dismissal.

At the beginning of her statement, Andika apologized for the attack on the Ciracas Police Headquarters and local businesses on Saturday morning (8/29/2020).
“The Indonesian Army apologizes for the incident that caused casualties and damage suffered by civilians and members of the National Police.”
“We apologize for the incident and we will escort you for a follow-up that includes compensation for the costs of hospital treatment and damages caused by the perpetrators,” he was quoted as saying by Breaking News KompasTV.

Andika continued, so far, the TNI Puspom has examined 12 people, all of whom are members of TNI.
It is estimated that the number of TNI members questioned will increase by 19 because they are suspected of being involved.
“We have handled it from the first second and so far 12 people have been investigated in the Military Police of the Jakarta Military Command, and these 12 people are soldiers of the Indonesian Army. But there are 19 more people who are currently being indicated and are currently in the subpoena process. In total there will be 31 people. who checked it out, “he explained.
According to the results of the midterm examination, Andika said, the 12 TNI soldiers had complied with the article of the Military Penal Code of receiving additional punishment in the form of dismissal.
“So far, from the results of the investigation, all those questioned have complied with the article of the Military Penal Code to receive an additional sanction in the form of dismissal from military service.”
