jpnn.com, JAKARTA – Danpuspom Maj. Gen. TNI Eddy Rate Muis assured that none of the perpetrators of the attack on the Ciracas Police could escape the legal trap in accordance with current laws and regulations.
“So that no one qualifies, let’s let the team work first, if it is true that it is proven that everyone will be charged under applicable law,” he said in Jakarta on Saturday.
Regarding the suspicion that the attack on the Ciracas Police was caused by false news spread by Prada MI, Eddy said, it is still being investigated.
If proven, the perpetrator could be threatened by the Information and Electronic Transactions Act (ITE).
“Is this due to news issues or hoaxes? So we’re still working. If it turns out to be misleading news, of course you will be charged with the ITE Act,” Eddy added.
The destruction of the East Jakarta Ciracas Police Station early Saturday morning was sparked by a provocation by an unscrupulous TNI member with the initials MI at a classmate.
“From the Prada MI cell phone, it was discovered that the person in question reported to the class of 2017 that he had been beaten, his superior called to tell him that he had been beaten,” said Pangdam Jaya, TNI Maj. Gen. Dudung Abdurachman at a press conference at the TNI Center for Journalists in Puspen, headquarters of TNI Cilangkap.
However, when the statement of the member of the Army Legal Directorate Unit was compared with the statements of nine civilian witnesses, it turned out that MI had lied.
