KOMPAS.com – Bhayangkara FC player Serdy Ephy Fano is relieved to accept Shin Tae-yong’s decision to leave the Indonesian U19 team.

Shin Tae-yong crossed out two players before sending the Indonesian Under-19 team to Croatia on Saturday (8/29/2020).

Originally, the Indonesian Under-19 team would bring 30 players to training camp (TC) in Croatia.

However, Shin Tae-yong crossed out two players from the U19 team before leaving for Croatia.

Two players crossed out by Shin Tae-yong from the Indonesian U19 team were Serdy Ephy Fano and Ahmad Afhridrizal (Vamos Indonesia).

The two players were branded by Shin Tae-yong for committing indiscriminate actions.

Serdy and Ahmad Afhridrizal were late for training for the Indonesian U19 team led by Shin Tae-yong.

As a result, the two players were immediately eliminated by Shin Tae-yong from Garuda Muda’s team.

When contacted BolaSport.comSerdy admitted the mistake that expelled him from the Indonesian U19 team.

Serdy said that he and Afhridzal were still asleep when the other players of the Indonesian U19 national team went to Madya Stadium, Senayan, Jakarta, for training.

By the way, Serdy and Akhmad Afhridzal stayed in a room at the Fairmont Hotel, Senayan, in central Jakarta.

Realizing his mistake, Serdy admitted that he could accept Shin Tae-yong’s firm decision.

Coach Shin Tae-yong is a coach who places a lot of importance on discipline, “Serdy told BolaSport.com on Saturday (8/29/2020).

“And this morning, when my other friends were about to leave for Madya Stadium, I was still asleep.”

“Rizal and I were late to go to practice. When my friends had started training, Rizal and I just arrived,” said the player with the position sticker again.

Serdy was very sorry because he was 10 minutes late to the training site and was therefore discharged from the Indonesian U19 team.

Even so, he didn’t blame Shin Tae-yong.

“This is true of my undisciplined mistake,” Serdy said.

“It’s the coach’s decision, I can only accept that,” added Serdy.

For Serdy, this incident will be a lesson for him in the future.

He doesn’t want to repeat the same thing and hopes to get another shot at Shin Tae-yong.

“Honestly, I’m disappointed, but again this is my fault and I have to accept.”

“I will be more disciplined and do my best,” Serdy concluded.

With Serdy’s dismissal, the Indonesian under-19 team have 27 players left to make TC in Croatia.

Aside from the two players who have been crossed out, another name, Elkan Baggott, is not yet known if he will join the U19 team.

This is because Elkan Baggott has not received permission from his club, Ipswich Town U-18, to join the Indonesian U-19 national team.

In Croatia, the Indonesian U19 team will train over the next month. (Mochamad Hary Prasetya)
