BPJS Health Quotas Increase Again, Here’s How To Drop The Class …

KOMPAS.com – The government increased BPJS health rates again where the decision was made when the crown pandemic was still underway on Tuesday (5/5/2020).

The increase is regulated in Perpres Number 64 of 2020 regarding the Second Amendment to Perpres Number 82 of 2018 regarding Health Insurance.

It was noted that the rate increase applies to independent participants consisting of Non-Receiving Participants (PBPU) and Non-Workers (BP).

The increase in fees for independent class I, II and III participants is detailed below.

– Class I: contributions of independent Class I participants increased to Rp 150,000, from currently Rp 80,000

– Class II: Class II independent participant fees increased to Rp 100,000, from current Rp 51,000

– Class III: the fees for independent Class III participants increased to Rp 42,000, from the current Rp 25,500.

It is known, the increase took effect from July 1, 2020.

Since the increase nearly doubled the amount, several people have also chosen to drop out of class to ease the financial burden on the home.
