Police shoot wives and TNI members in Jeneponto

MAKASSAR, KOMPAS.com – A police officer with the initials Bripka He (47) shot his wife, HT (42) and a member of the TNI Serda HA (46) at their residence in Jalan Sungai Kelara, Binamu District, Jeneponto, South Sulawesi, on Thursday (15/05/2020) at night.

From the information gathered, Bripka He is one of the police officers serving in Makassar.

While the TNI members who were killed came from the Jeneponto Kodim unit.

The shooting was justified by the Chief of the Public Relations Commissioner of the South Sulawesi Regional Police, Ibrahim Tompo.

When interviewed by reporters, Ibrahim said the police officer had been secured by the Provost of the South Sulawesi Regional Police.

“The process is still ongoing. Currently, the two victims are in the hospital,” Ibrahim said Friday (05/15/2020).

Although he was reluctant to reveal the timeline of the incident in detail, Ibrahim said that currently the South Sulawesi Regional Police Chief and the Makassar Police Chief and the Jeneponto Police Chief had coordinated with XIV Regional Commander Hasanuddin and the Dandim.

“At this time, we have coordinated Pak Kapolda, Pangdam, Dandim, Kapolres who have coordinated each line so that no effects arise,” said Ibrahim.
