Jakarta, CNN Indonesia – Indonesian Ulema Council (MUI) insists that the community should not implement Eid prayer (Id) online or online due to pandemic conditions coronavirus (COVID-19).

MUI Fatwa Commission Secretary Asrorun Niam Sholeh said online prayer in the congregation is never taught in Islamic law.

“There is no online prayer. Prayer is a matter of worshiping mahdhah, dogma, there are conditions and harmony must be met,” said Asrorun CNNIndonesia.com, Thursday (05/14).

Asrorun said people do not need to offer online identification prayers later in Eid. MUI has issued a fatwa of Muslims who are in areas exposed to the crown and can perform identification prayers in the congregation in their respective homes.
According to Asrorun, the most important thing in prayer is the presence of imams and Muslims in the same place.

“One of the conditions for pilgrims is that ittihad majlis, the congregation meets,” he said.

In the fatwa issued on Wednesday (5/13), MUI specifically regulates the procedure for the prayer of identification during the crown pandemic. Identification prayers at home can be done alone (munfarid) or in congregation.

It is suggested that the identification prayers in the home congregation consist of 1 magnet and 3 congregants. If the amount is not reached, the Salary ID is still allowed.

MUI also suggested that the public include a sermon if Salat Id is home. If no family member has the ability to preach, then the MUI allows identification prayers to take place without preaching.

“That Eid Al-Fitr prayer is a worship that becomes a symbol of Islam and a symbol of the victory of lust during the month of Ramadan,” Asrorun explained again to CNNIndonesia.com. (dhf / osc)
