President Jokowi Explains Any Aid To Communities Amidst Covid-19 Pandemic

He explained that the social assistance provided by the community, from PKH, basic food cards, to social assistance, could reach 55 percent. Both the less fortunate and those affected by the Covid-19 pandemic.

“So we hope to reach 55% of our total population, both the less fortunate and those affected by Covid-19,” said Jokowi.

However, Jokowi admitted that there were still deficiencies in the implementation of the distribution of social assistance. He also said that aid distribution had not been 100 percent complete.

“In other places I checked, for example, like the new town BLT received by the community about 10 percent, so please, the community is also waiting, asking town officials on both RT / RW and the village chief, “he said.

Cash assistance was provided to poor people and residents affected by the Covid-19 pandemic. Through this assistance, residents will receive Rp. 600,000 per month for three months.

“We hope that with this social assistance, we can strengthen, strengthen the purchasing power of people so that later our internal consumption returns to normal,” said Jokowi.
