Jakarta, CNN Indonesia – Front of Islamic Defenders (FPI) accused the government of looking for a scapegoat for its spread coronavirus (Covid-19) when discussing the reduction of restrictions in places of worship.

FPI Secretary General Munarman said from the beginning that the government did not have a clear plan to manage Corona. This speech, he said, only added to the government’s unclear vision.

“Now it is not clear why the policy is unclear, and the authorities are looking for scapegoats to blame in this pandemic. And what the Muslims will use again as scapegoats,” he said, via text message to CNNIndonesia.com, Tuesday (12/5).

Munarman said that worship was a Muslim right. However, he did not explain further whether FPI supports or rejects the discourse on facilitating places of worship.

He himself declined to comment or make suggestions on the issue of limiting worship because he did not want to get involved in the scapegoat plan. From the beginning, he said, FPI insisted on proposing quarantine or territory. emergency shutdown to suppress the spread of Corona.
