Jakarta, CNN Indonesia – Number of positive cases infected with the coronavirus (Covid-19) in Jakarta continues to grow. As of Tuesday (5/12), positive cases in Jakarta increased by 108 cases, bringing the total to 5,303 cases.

“According to the latest data from the Health Service on May 12, 2020, 1,262 people declared cured of covid, out of a total of 5,303 positive cases,” said the head of the Division of Disease Prevention and Control of DKI, Provincial Office of Jakarta Health, Dwi Oktavia, in a press release on Tuesday (5/12).



Meanwhile, the number of coronavirus-positive patients who died became 456 people. While up to 1,844 people continue to be treated in hospitals and 1,741 people are in independent isolation.

Octavia continued at this time, as many as 1,909 people in Jakarta were Symptomless Persons (OTG). OTG is a person who may have been in direct contact with Covid-19 patients to become infected.

However, OTG does not suffer from Covid-19 symptoms such as high fever and shortness of breath. OTG is also more likely to spread the coronavirus because it does not cause any symptoms, so consider yourself healthy and then do activities outside the home.

In addition, the total state of people under supervision (PAO) reached 8,592 people. Of these, 8,411 people have been monitored, and 1,818 others are still being monitored.

Meanwhile, the number of patients under treatment (PDP) to date reaches 7,095. A total of 6,508 people have been declared healthy and discharged from the hospital, and another 587 are still in care.

Until Monday (11/5), the Provincial Government of DKI Jakarta has carried out a polymerase chain reaction (PCR) test on 87,552 samples. Meanwhile, specifically on May 11, registered PCR tests were performed on 2,500 samples.

“A total of 1,200 tests were performed to confirm the diagnosis in new cases, with 108 positive and 1,092 negative results,” said Octavia.

So far, the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government also continues to conduct rapid tests or rapid tests in six cities / regencies of the DKI Jakarta administration and the Center for Employee Health Services (PPKP).

Reported, 93,426 people have undergone rapid tests to this day. Of these, 3,646 were indicated as positive for the corona virus, while 89,780 people were negative.
