TANGERANG, KOMPAS.com – Foreigners arriving at Soekarno-Hatta Airport do not have to take a Covid-19 test series.

This is different from Indonesian citizens who have to take a series of tests.

PT Angkasa Pura II Chairman President Muhammad Awaluddin said that although it was not tested upon arrival in Indonesia, the foreign citizen must present the test results. Polymerase chain reaction o Covid-19 PCR from your country of origin.

“In accordance with the health protocol, foreigners entering our country must bring the results of the PCR tests,” Awaluddin said at a video broadcast press conference on Tuesday (05/12/2020).

Awaluddin said, in contrast to Indonesian citizens that they had to go through several stages before being declared to have escaped Covid-19 when it arrived from abroad.

“The principle is that all Indonesian citizens returning from abroad will have a PCR test,” he said.

The Soekarno-Hatta Airport together with the Soekarno-Hatta Port Health Office (KKP) of the Ministry of Health have carried out a rapid test.

There are at least 40 Indonesians who were declared reactive in tests conducted between April 2 and May 7, 2020.

“This is a hardening of a rapid PCR test exam to make sure that our returning brothers are negative,” said Awaluddin.
