The city of Wuhan, China, again registered positive cases of the Corona virus (COVID-19) in its region. In fact, for more than a month there have been no new cases in the city that have become the zero point of the Corona virus pandemic.

The appearance of a new case in Wuhan was first reported on Sunday (5/10). At the time, China reported 14 positive cases of Corona virus, of which 1 was from Wuhan, Hubei. Previously, there have been no additional case reports in Wuhan since April 3, 2020.

In the latest announcement on Monday (5/11) local time, Wuhan city authorities again reported five new cases of Corona virus in the region. All new cases are classified as asymptomatic.

According to local health officials, the five new cases come from the same residential complex, where the majority of older people live. One of them was the wife of an 89-year-old male patient who was reported the day before.

“Currently, the task of preventing and controlling epidemics in the city is still very heavy,” the Wuhan Health Authority said in a statement.
