Extraordinary train tickets go on sale today, see route details and pricing

YAKARTA, KOMPAS.com – PT Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero) or KAI operates extraordinary train travel (KLB) for 3 routes from May 12 to 31, 2020. KLB is operated to serve people who are excluded from the prohibition on returning to their homes.

KAI Vice President of Public Relations Joni Martinus said that KLB tickets may be purchased by prospective passengers who meet the criteria of the Covid-19 Driving Acceleration Working Group Number 4 Letter of 2020, Starting today, Monday (11/05/2020).

“Interested passengers can make reservations and buy tickets from exits D-7 and cannot be represented,” he said in a written statement Monday.

In addition, tickets can be purchased at each departure station.

Joni explained, for the price of KLB tickets sold after mileage. The details of the route and the prices of the KLB tickets are as follows:

1. Gambir – Surabaya Pasarturi pp (Lintas Utara)
to. Series: 4 executive trains and 4 economic trains
b. Sales capacity: 264 seats
c. Passenger Pickup / Drop Stations: Gambir, Cirebon, Semarang Tawang, Surabaya Pasarturi
d. The farthest executive distance is Rp. 750,000 and Economy is Rp. 400,000.

2. Gambir – Surabaya Pasarturi pp (Cross South)
to. Series: 4 executive trains and 4 economic trains
b. Sales capacity: 264 seats
c. Passenger pickup / drop stations: Gambir, Yogyakarta, Solo Balapan, Surabaya Pasarturi
d. The farthest executive distance is Rp. 750,000 and Economy is Rp. 450,000.

3. Bandung – Surabaya Pasarturi pp
to. Series: 3 executive trains and 3 economic trains
b. Sales capacity: 198 seats
c. Passenger Pickup / Drop Stations: Bandung, Yogyakarta, Madiun, Surabaya Pasarturi
d. Longest distance rate: Executive IDR 630,000 and Economy IDR 440,000.

In order to purchase KLB tickets, Joni said, potential passengers had to complete the requirements according to the Covid-19 Driving Acceleration Task Force Task Force Letter.

These requirements include a negative Covid-19 test result letter, a company assignment letter, a valid KTP or other identification card, as well as other supporting documents.

If complete, Joni added, prospective passengers can report to the Covid-19 Task Force Acceleration Management Task Force available at the ticketing station to present documents.

After being verified, prospective passengers will obtain a double permit from the Covid-19 Working Group.

“The permit is valid for one trip only,” Joni said.
