jpnn.com, JAKARTA – President of the Indonesian Cyber Law Observers Association (HPHSI) Galang Prayogo was shocked at the steps taken by the police to arrest Youtuber Ferdian Paleka for downloading videos of prank jokes or trash pranks.

According to him, Bandung Police investigators should be able to see Ferdian’s junk prank case broadly and clearly without seeing the massive pressure.

Because there are good intentions in the Ferdian trash prank video, which is trying to enforce the Large-Scale Social Restraint (PSBB) rules to suppress the spread of the coronavirus COVID-19.

“I am amazed that Ferdian has been convicted of making a prank video. After all, from the beginning, this Ferdian video said he wanted to help the government eliminate transvestites during Ramadan and the PSBB,” Galang said in his short message to jpnn.com, on Sunday (10/5).

Also, Galang said, the Ferdian prank video actually showed that the local government was unsuccessful in enforcing the PSBB rules.

It was recorded on video that there was still a series of transgender people who were on the side of the road at the time of PSBB implementation.

“So this Ferdian even proves that the government and the Satpol PP (Civil Service Police Unit) have failed to stop the implementation of Ramadan and PSBB. If it works, how is it possible that there are transvestites?” He said.

Galang explained, Ferdian was caught in a crime due to the distribution of trash prank videos to cyberspace without the permission of the person he had allowed.
