CORAL – Several important figures were present at the funeral process for former (retired) TNI Commander General Djoko Santoso at the Sandigeo Hills Cemetery Complex, Block Insya N 33 No. 1, Karawang Regency, West Java, on Sunday (10/05 / 2020) in the afternoon. Among them, Defense Minister Prabowo Subianto and DKI Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan.

The procession arrived at the scene at 1:52 pm western Indonesia and was immediately buried. Before the funeral was held, the ceremony inspector, Marshal Hadi Tjahjanto, read a brief history of the deceased. After reading a short story, the body was buried accompanied by salvo shots. After DKI Governor Anies Baswedan’s funeral, he said, knowing that news from former TNI Commander Joko Santoso died around 7:00 WIB. Anies said, the impressiveness of the deceased, always instilled a love for the nation and the country without conditions. “I often stop by my office to give advice or suggestions about the problems that are occurring,” he said.

Anies said the deceased never retired with his people in mind. At every opportunity, love for the nation and the state is always passed on, especially to those who are young. “Although he officially retired, he never retired thinking of the nation.” he said.

Anies also conveyed expressions of sadness and prayed that the late Djoko Santoso would be elevated to the dharma of his devotion over the years. “The deceased was a patriot. And what became his devotion to Dharma will flow incessantly towards the deceased,” he said.
