President-elect of the United States (USA) Joe Biden delivered his victory speech in the 2020 US presidential election. In the victory speech, Biden spoke accompanied by Vice President-elect Kamala Harris.
Biden’s speech was held in Wilmington, Delaware, on Sunday (11/8/2020). Biden, dressed in a black suit, understands the disappointment of Trump voters.
It is known that Biden won after obtaining 290 electoral votes, after his narrow victory in the state of Pennsylvania. After days of counting votes and entering a fierce battle, the US Democratic presidential candidate won the 2020 US presidential election.
In his victory speech, Biden spoke to Trump voters to give each other a chance. Biden promised to become a president who does not seek division.
“I promise to become a president who does not seek division but defends unity,” Biden said as reported by CNN, on Sunday (8/11/2020).
“Now, to everyone who voted for President Trump, I understand your disappointment tonight. I’ve lost a few times myself, but now let’s give ourselves a chance,” Biden said.
Before Biden, Harris was seen first on the speaking podium. Harris was wearing a white shirt. Harris spoke about democracy in America in his victory speech.
“Good evening, thank you,” said Harris, who won the 2020 US presidential election with 290 electoral votes with Joe Biden.
Harris’s appearance on the podium at the victory speech was greeted by boisterous supporters. The location of Biden-Haris’s victory speech was packed with supporters using attributes.
In his speech, Harris referred to democracy. He said sacrifices were needed to defend democracy.
“Take care of it and never take it for granted,” Harris said.
“It takes sacrifice. But there is joy in it. And there is progress, because we the people have the strength to build a better future,” Harris added.
