KOMPAS.com- The young man with the initials AA (24) was named a suspect after stabbing Sheikh Ali Jaber at the Tahfidz Al Quran graduation ceremony at Falahudin Mosque, Lampung.
During the incident on Sunday (9/13/2020), the thin man wore a blue shirt and allegedly brought a knife from his home.
As a result of the stabbing, Sheikh Ali Jaber suffered a wound to his right shoulder.

1. Living with grandfather, supposedly left town for 3 years
AA (24) is known to be a resident of Jalan Tamin, RT 07, Sukajawa Village, Tanjung Karang Barat District, Bandar Lampung City.
This was allowed by the chairman of RT 07 Gang Tamin, Jumawan.
Jumawan admitted that AA is a citizen. AA is known to live with his grandfather’s family in Gang Kemiri.
But, Jumawan said, he hasn’t seen AA in a long time.
Because, the last three years AA left the village.
“The latest news is that (he) the perpetrator lives in Mesuji,” Jumawan said.
He admitted that he was shocked when he learned that the stabbing incident involved AA.
“Suddenly there was news that he (the perpetrator) nujah (stabbing). You know how is he here, when will he come, “he continued.

2. I’ve never been to RSJ, the question and answer interaction is fluid
The police are still exploring the psyche of AA. Provisional suspicion, the perpetrator is not a madman.
Because, from the initial examination of the perpetrator, he was able to answer the questions without issue.
“The question and answer process was straightforward. But it must be explored from the psychological side of the perpetrator,” said Lampung Regional Police Public Relations Chief Kombes Zahwani Pandra Arsyad.
The police also brought in a team of doctors and psychiatrists to keep track of AA family information. They called AA who suffered from mental disorders.
Meanwhile, Kapolresta Bandar Lampung, Kombes Yan Budi, said he had not found a signal for a patient at Life Confinement Hospital.
This means that the perpetrator has never had a history of treatment in a psychiatric hospital.
“At the moment, we are still in the legal process. Whether he has ever been hospitalized or not, we have to confirm to the RSJ first, because there is no yellow card yet,” Yan Budi said.

3. Tried to stab more than once, hit by mobs
Meanwhile, the stabbing victim, Sheikh Ali Jaber, said that before being arrested by residents, AA again tried to stab him again.
Then the action of AA stopped. He was hit by the crowd that attended the event.
Out of compassion, Ali Jaber asked the crowd to stop beating the man.
Ali asked the congregation to immediately turn the man over to the police.
“I feel sorry for (the assailant was beaten). I said, ‘That’s enough, that’s it, leave it to the police‘”Ali Jaber said.

4. You are suspected of having very strong motives
Sheikh Ali Jaber had spoken of the irregularities when he experienced the stabbing.
He considered that the perpetrator was not insane and had strong motives that made him the target of AA.
“(The perpetrator) is not someone who, I’m sorry, is carelessly crazy. First, in terms of strength, his body is slim, small. It is impossible that if his body is seen there will be force until half a knife stabs him, ”said Ali Jaber.
Ali Jaber asked the police to investigate the case thoroughly.
“For personal matters, I have no accusations, but legally, he (the perpetrator) must be prosecuted,” Ali Jaber said.

5. Bring a knife from home
During the police investigation, it was discovered that the perpetrator had brought a knife from his home.
“The perpetrator brought a knife from the house. But the psychiatrist is studying the information about him,” said Lampung Police Chief Inspector General Purwadi Arianto.
AA then brought the knife to the Falahudin Mosque tahfidz graduation ceremony site to stab Sheikh Ali Jaber.
AA pointed the knife at Ali Jaber’s neck and chest. The stab was avoided, but Sheikh Ali Jaber suffered a wound to his right shoulder.

6. He was mistaken for lending a cell phone
Lampung Regional Police Head of Public Relations, Kombes Zahwani Pandra Arsyad, explained that the perpetrator was believed to have gone on stage to lend a cell phone.
Shortly before the stabbing occurred, Sheikh Ali Jaber was testing one of the students’ recitation of the Al-Quran recitation.

After interacting, the boy and mother asked for a selfie with Sheikh Ali Jaber.
However, the mother’s cell phone memory is full, so it cannot be used to take pictures.
“But the mother’s cell phone has full memory, Sheikh Ali Jaber told the congregation to lend the mother’s cell phone,” Pandra said on Sunday (3/9/2020).
At that time, AA then took the stage. But suddenly she stabbed Sheikh Ali Jaber with a knife.

7. Two items can be charged
Police have singled out AA as a suspect after conducting an investigation yesterday.
“Since yesterday’s inspection, it has been 24 hours. We have established the status as a suspect,” said Bandar Lampung Police Chief Kombes Yan Budi.
The author of the stabbing of Sheikh Ali Jaber could be charged with two articles.
The two articles are related to serious persecution and the carrying of sharp weapons without rights.
“In accordance with article 351 paragraph 2 (KUHP) with the threat of imprisonment of 5 years and article 2 paragraph 1 of the Emergency Law Number 12 of 1951 with the threat of imprisonment of 10 years”, Head of the Office of Public Information (Karopenmas) Public Relations Division of the National Police Brigadier General (Pol) Awi Setiyono at the Bareskrim building, South Jakarta, on Monday (9/14/2020).
