JAKARTA – Member of the DPR of the Gerindra Faction, Fadli Zon, hinted the Chief of the Metro Jaya Regional Police, Inspector General Pol Fadil Imran. He questioned the application of the law by the police.

Police are known to have shot dead six soldiers guarding the Grand Imam of the Islamic Defenders Front (FPI) Habib Rizieq Shihab (HRS). A few days later, Polda Metro Jaya named HRS and other elites as suspects.

“Six members of the FPI have been cruelly shot and murdered, now the suspect is ‘prokes’, is this law enforcement in a state of law? The Regional Police Chief is extraordinarily ‘manly’, we will see what the end is” said via the Twitter account @fadlizon as quoted. Okezone, Friday (11/12/2020).

As is known, the authorities shot dead six soldiers guarding Habib Rizieq on the Jakarta-Cikampek (Japek) toll road while guarding the FPI high priest.

The authorities alleged that the paramilitaries attacked the officers first so that they had to act with firmness and restraint in the form of shooting. The police also confiscated several firearms (senpi) and sharp weapons (sajam) from them.

However, the narrative developed by the police was totally denied by the FPI. The organization created by Habib Rizieq emphasized that its members did not attack the officers.
