TEMPO.CO, Jakarta – The National Human Rights Commission or Komnas HAM said that it had not yet issued any conclusions or recommendations on the incident of the murder of six FPI soldiers on Monday, December 7, 2020.
“We emphasize that so far Komnas HAM has not issued any recommendations, we are still in the process of detailing this incident,” Komnas HAM Commissioner Choirul Anam said during a press conference on Monday, December 28, 2020.
Anam said that in recent weeks, this institution had interviewed several people from the FPI camp, investigators from Polda Metro Jaya, Bareskrim, forensic doctors and even Jasa Marga as manager of the toll road.
Komnas HAM has also gone out into the field to interview community witnesses who saw the incident and checked the closed circuit television at KM 50 Tol Jakarta-Cikampek. “We have also obtained recordings on the toll road before the incident and after the incident,” said Komnas HAM Commissioner Beka Ulung Hapsara.
Komnas HAM also obtained bullet shells and used car shrapnel from the field. Komnas HAM has this evidence because they arrived at the scene the same day the incident occurred. “We went down before a voice memo circulated in the community,” Anam said.
Anam said these shells and shells would be ballistic tested. He promised that this ballistic test would be open. Anam said that from the results of the field inspection there were seven shells and four howitzers. “We promise to conduct ballistic testing in an open and transparent manner,” he said.
