JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com – DKI Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan decided to re-implement strict large-scale social restrictions (PSBB) in the capital.

The decision was made because the spread of Covid-19 in the capital was considered to be in a worrying situation.

Anies said this decision was made considering a number of factors, namely the availability of hospital beds that were almost full and the high death rate.

“There are not many options for Jakarta except to apply the emergency brake as soon as possible,” Anies said on the Jakarta provincial government live broadcast, “on Wednesday (9/9/2020).

This emergency brake policy will take effect on September 14, 2020.

What not to do:

1. It is forbidden to carry out activities in public places

Activities in public places are limited. The restrictions refer to the number of people and the restrictions to the distance of the people.

2. School and work from home

Teaching and learning activities in schools are still banned until now.

School holidays mean stopping the teaching and learning process in schools and replacing it with teaching and learning at home with effective means.

4. Tourist attractions are closed

DKI Jakarta’s provincial government will also be shut down again as soon as the PSBB tightens again on September 14.

“Activities managed by DKI like Ragunan, Monas, Ancol, city parks will be closed and learning activities will take place at home,” said Anies.

5. Eating in restaurants is prohibited

When the PSBB is adjusted, residents will again be prohibited from eating in restaurants or cafes.

The DKI Jakarta provincial government allows the restaurant to open, but on the condition that it only serves takeout or to carry out.

According to Anies, the locations of these eating places during the PSBB transition had the potential to become a transmission location for Covid-19.

6. Places of worship that carry residents through the regions are closed

For large places of worship that have large congregations from various regions in Jakarta or outside of Jakarta, closed. Worship focuses on the houses of worship that are within the environment of the dwelling.

Things that can be done

1. Buy medicines and essentials

During the PSBB, residents will only be able to leave the house to buy their daily necessities and medicines.

Residents can still visit retail stores, stalls, or markets, but with proper health protocol.

2. Ship products and order food online

One of the activities that is allowed is the transaction of food or goods. online.

Residents can still spend anything as long as it is done privately online.

3. Worship in congregation in the surrounding environment.

Slightly different from the previous PSBB, Pemprob DKI did not prohibit residents from praying in congregation. However, on a note, the place of worship used is only used by local residents.
