KOMPAS.com – Today wage subsidy aid (BSU) or a wage subsidy of Rs 600,000 from phase 3 to 3.5 million private employees and honorary employees has started to be disbursed.

Those eligible to receive BSU are Indonesian Citizens (WNI) and are registered as BPJS Ketenagakerjaan participants who are still active until June 30, 2020.

  1. Phase 1: 2.5 million (Aug 24)
  2. Phase 2: 3 million (September 1)
  3. Phase 3: 3.5 million (September 8)

The government has budgeted 37.7 trillion rupees for wage subsidies with a total recipient of 15.7 million people, to be precise 15,725,232 people.

Thus, there are still around 6.7 million employees and honorary employees who have not received wage subsidies.

Reported Kompas.comOn August 30, 2020, the Head of the Public Relations Office of the Ministry of Manpower, R Soes Hindharno, explained that the total assistance that employees will receive is 2.4 million IDR in 4 months.

The money is not delivered all at once, but twice, so that in one transfer the recipient will get Rs 1.2 million.

The government aims for all recipients to receive Rs 2.4 crore by December 2020.

“By the end of December, the goal is for each participant to finish (to get 2.4 crore rupees),” he said.

Liquid every week

Soes explained that on August 26 the first phase had been transferred, the number of beneficiaries was 2.5 million people. Then each week 2.5 to 3 million workers are transferred again.

“2.5 million people will be moved per week. But we ask 3 million people if it is possible. Because the sooner the better ”, he said.

For the calculation, he explained, of the 15 million recipients divided by 2.5 million recipients, the number 6 would be found.

By way of illustration, in the first 6 weeks part of the assistance will be provided (1.2 million IDR per person). Then, in the next 6 weeks, the rest will be administered (1.2 million IDR per person).

However, expect more than 2.5 million people. If there are 3 million recipients each week, it could be faster, around 5 weeks.
