The DKI Jakarta government finally relaxed the Large Scale Social Restrictions (PSBB) by returning to the transition period. This will go into effect from October 12 tomorrow until October 25, 2020.
Prior to the PSBB’s decision for the transition period, DKI Jakarta applied an emergency brake. Only a few sectors were able to operate during this period.
So what is the latest news on Jakarta PSBB?
1. Reasons for PSBB transition
The PSBB’s decision in the transition period was made due to a slowdown in the increase in positive cases and active cases despite an increase in transmission.
“What happened during this month was the emergency brake policy (emergency brake) because there was an unexpected increase in cases that were not expected. After stabilizing, we began to reduce the brakes slowly, gradually. the transmission chain remains under control and we do not have to perform an emergency brake again, “explained Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan in a written statement on Sunday (10/11).
2. Visitors can eat on site
After the strict brake on PSBB, cafes and restaurants cannot serve meals on site or dine at home. However, during the PSBB transition period in Jakarta this was allowed.
It’s just that, the maximum capacity of the dining area accommodates 50% of visitors, the distance between tables and chairs is 1.5 meters, at the service of wearing masks, face shields and gloves.
3. Visitors and employees must be registered
During the implementation of the transitional PSBB, 11 sectors were allowed to open, namely health, food / food / beverage, energy, information and communication technology, finance, logistics, hospitality and construction. In addition, there are strategic industries, basic services, public services and industries that are designated as national vital objects and certain objects and / or daily necessities.
These eleven sectors are required to register each visitor and employee. Meanwhile, data collection can be done manually or through technology-based applications.
“As mentioned above, several sectors have been allowed to operate again (details of the sectors will be given later). The new policy implemented in the current Transitional PSBB is the collection of visitor and employee data in the open sectors “said the information.
4. School not face to face
Although PSBB is back in its transition period, the DKI Jakarta provincial government is still implementing online schools. So said the secretary of the DKI Jakarta Education Agency, Susi Nurhati.
“Not yet (the school has not met face to face),” he explained, on Sunday (11/10/2020).
5. Even so, odd and even do not occur
Polda Metro Jaya traffic director Kombes Sambodo Purnomo Yogo said the odd-even policy is not yet in effect even though the Jakarta PSBB transition policy has been adopted.
“The results of the coordination with the Transport Agency, tomorrow (odd-even) are still being canceled. We do not know (until when) we will see the progress,” he explained when contacted on Sunday (11/10/2020).
