5 coaches Juventus should name to replace Maurizio Sarri: ok ball

SEASON 2019-2020 may be an unsatisfactory result for Juventus. Despite successfully winning the Italian League 2019-2020, Juventus could not go further in the 2019-2020 Champions League.

These results did not get a good response from the Juventus management. They eventually fired Maurizio Sarri and appointed Andrea Pirlo as the new coach. Despite the fact that a few days before, Pirlo had just been appointed to manage the Juventus U23.

It is clearly a bet that Juventus is taking. Because this is Pirlo’s first job as head coach. Maybe Juventus have other options. So, if besides Pirlo, who are the five coaches that Juventus can name to replace Sarri?

5. Gian Piero Gasperini

Gasperini is probably the most underrated coach in world football today. He began his coaching career with the Juventus youth team. The Italian manager is very experienced and what he accomplished with Atalanta last season is a testament to his brilliance.

Last season, Atalanta scored the most goals in the Italian League and became one of the top scorers in Europe. Together with Gasperini they managed to secure a place in the Champions League for two consecutive seasons.

Although Sarri also achieved the same, but Gasperini managed to do it in a weaker squad. Therefore, Gasperini has great potential to manage Juventus after Sarri’s tenure.

4. Laurent Blanc

Although Laurent Blanc has not managed the team since 2016, but all the major clubs that have an empty seat, his name has always been linked. This clearly shows that the man with the French passport still ranks high as a coach.

Not only did he win titles with PSG, but his work to change the French national team was also underrated. Blanc also led Bordeaux to two consecutive French League titles. This result means that Blanc is not underestimated.

If he arrives at Juventus, he will not have problems managing the big names either. He is a figure who has experience in training players like Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

3. Leonardo Jardim

Jardim has not received enough recognition for the work he is doing at AS Monaco. In fact, it could be a good option for Juventus. He managed to win the French League with young players like Kylian Mbappé and Thomas Lemar when PSG dominated the French top flight.

Even that same season, he guided the club to the semi-finals of the Champions League. This clearly shows that if you have a good group of players to work with, it can work wonders.

Juventus currently has very good players with quality and experience. If you are able to lead a young team like Monaco in 2017-2018, then you can achieve more with Juventus.

2. Mauricio Pochettino

Pochettino’s name became famous when he coached Tottenham Hotspur. He led the Lilywhites to the final of the Champions League and also helped them compete for the Premier League title.

Under his tutelage, Tottenham played a high-pressure match and dominated possession. However, due to lack of resources at the club, he never managed to win a trophy.

Pochettino was fired by Tottenham last year. Since then, it has not worked. However, the former Southamton manager has good experience managing the team in the Champions League, so he is actually a strong candidate for the Juventus job.

1. Erik ten Hag

Erik ten Hag is remembered for leading the Ajax youth team to the semi-finals of the Champions League in 2019. In the process, they managed to get rid of two European giants in Real Madrid and Juventus. This made Ten Hag’s performance admired by many fans around the world.

Ajax from the Netherlands youth team played impressive attacking football and dominated their opponents. Not only that, Ten Hag accomplished this feat with young players like Frenkie de Jong, Matthijs de Ligt, David Nerres and Donny van de Beek.

Although Ten Hag is known for his loyalty to Ajax, his name counts. Juventus should be able to convince Ten Hag to part ways with Ajax and offer an interesting project in Turin.
