According to him, the assistance provided by the government is to maintain the sustainability of micro-businesses amid the COVID-19 pandemic.

Total assistance channeled to 5.9 million micro-enterprises reached Rs 14.18 trillion.
“So there are only 3,252,839 micro-enterprises that have not received assistance in the first phase,” he said.

He added that on September 23, 2020, the government aims for this first phase of assistance to be distributed to 1.76 million microenterprises.
“Thus, by September 23, 2020, it is expected that 72.85 percent of the assistance to microenterprises will have been distributed,” said Riza.
