KOMPAS.com – The government, through the Ministry of Health, aims to start the vaccination program in mid-January 2021.
Previously, Indonesia had received 1.2 million doses of the Sinovac corona vaccine in early December 2020. Then, 1.8 million doses followed on Tuesday (12/31/2020).
So there are a total of 3 million doses of the Sinovac vaccine from the Chinese pharmaceutical company.

Two stages of vaccination
The Covid-19 Vaccination spokesperson, Dr. Siti Nadia Tarmizi, revealed that this vaccination is carried out in two stages, where the initial stage is prioritized for those who are on the priority list of Covid-19 vaccine recipients.
According to him, vaccination is carried out at an early stage for health workers and is continued with people aged 18 to 59 years.
“The initial stage will take place from January to April 2021 with details of the vaccine recipients, that is, 1.3 million health workers, 17.4 million public officials and 21.5 million elderly “Nadia said when contacted by Kompas.com on Saturday (2/1/2021).
He added that those over 60 will be vaccinated after receiving information about the safety of the vaccine for that age group.

People with comorbidities
Meanwhile, the vaccination process for someone with comorbidities is still awaiting further explanation.
The criteria for controlled comorbidities are not currently explained, the Ministry of Health is still awaiting recommendations from the Indonesian Immunization Technical Advisory Group (ITAGI) and experts.
In addition, the Ministry of Health estimates that vaccination for this first priority category can begin between January 15 and 25, 2021.
However, Nadia emphasized again that the estimated start of vaccination also depends on the permit issued by the Food and Drug Supervision Agency (BPOM).
“The second phase of vaccination will take place from April 2021 to March 2022,” he continued.
It is known, in this second stage, vaccination is directed at 63.9 million vulnerable people or in areas with high risk of contagion and 77.4 million people using a cluster approach according to vaccine availability.

Educational SMS
On the other hand, the Ministry of Health has begun to send SMS notifications to residents registered as recipients of the first phase vaccine.
The sending of the notification SMS started on Thursday (12/31/2020).
Regarding the vaccination program, Nadia revealed that the notification SMS was an educational SMS for potential vaccine recipients.
“It has not started the SMS registration yet. Educate first, when it comes to education, when it gets closer (vaccination time) will be the record, ”said Nadia.
In addition, the Ministry of Health will send a registration SMS as a link for registration.
How to check the status of vaccine recipients
On the other hand, those who have received educational SMS or feel in the category of health workers can check the status of the vaccine recipients through the website pedulilindung.id.

4. Enter the captcha code provided.
5. Click “Next”
6. Once you are registered, a notification will appear: “Congratulations on your chosen NIK (NIK number) as a potential recipient of the FREE COVID-19 vaccine. This vaccine is safe and effective in protecting you and your family from the COVID-19 virus.“.
However, if you have not registered as a vaccine recipient, a notification will appear: “Sorry, you with your NIK (your NIK number) are NOT currently among the potential recipients of the FREE COVID-19 vaccine during this period.“.
