HANOI, AYOBANDUNG.COM – Schools across Vietnam have reopened since Monday (5/4/2020). The country had previously closed schools for 3 months to cut the spread of Covid-19.

Vietnamese authorities say it is important to implement preventive measures. Authorities also placed hand sanitizers in schools.
“Students first check the temperature at the school gate,” Vietnamese authorities said.

The Vietnamese government decided to reopen the schools after the country was declared free of new cases for 3 weeks. Vietnam recorded 271 confirmed cases and no deaths.
The Vietnamese government said that the closure of all educational institutions took place in early February when the first Covid-19 infection was reported in the country. All teaching activities are transferred online.
The country imposed travel restrictions in April and closed stores for 3 weeks to prevent the spread of the coronavirus.
Vietnam became an Asian country that was quite successful in controlling the spread of the coronavirus.

Reporting from The Telegraph, Vietnam’s rapid response to virus management is one of the keys. Vietnam’s strategy is focused on targeting, tight follow-up of contacts, and small group testing of Covid-19 before it spreads.
Since the first case was discovered in January, Hanoi has moved. In February, more than 10,000 residents in the Son Loi commune in the northern province of Vinh Phuc were quarantined after being infected in small numbers.
A 14-day quarantine also applies to anyone arriving in Vietnam from high-risk countries. All schools and universities have also been closed since early February and began opening on Monday, May 4, 2020.
