KOMPAS.com – Up to 10 people died as a result of successive accidents on KM 78 lane A Tol Cipali, Purwakarta, West Java, on Monday (11/30/2020) around 03:00 WIB.

This deadly accident involved an elf with police number G 1261 D with a Hino tronton truck with police number R 1857 GC and a Hino Trailer truck with police number B 9010 UEJ.

In the accident, a family of residents of RT 004 / RW 002, Kalimade Village, Kesesi District, Pekalongan Regency, Central Java, died.

Three people who were victims were named Maulana (31), Vina Mutiara (25) and Maura Adelia Putri (4). They returned home, because they will attend the 1-year event of their father’s death that is scheduled to take place on Tuesday (01/12/2020), “he said.

He received information that the accident was reportedly this morning from a fellow traveler.

“I received the information around 06.00 WIB, after that I verified that it was true,” he added.

Abdul added that the family is currently still waiting for the body to arrive at the funeral home.

“For the funeral, it is not yet known when it will take place. Because the family is still in deliberations and still awaits the arrival of the three bodies,” he added.

Previously reported, the accident occurred at Cipali Highway Km 78 + 500 in Purwakarta Regency, on Monday (11/30/2020) around 03.00 WIB.

A total of 10 people died in this accident.

“There were eight victims in the TKP, then information was received that two more died in the hospital. So all those who died were 10 people, one was seriously injured and the other slightly injured,” said the traffic director of the Police West Java Regional Kombes Eddy Djunaedi, who was contacted on Monday morning.

Eddy said the accident involved three vehicles, namely two Tronton vehicles and one Elf vehicle.

This accident started when an Elf vehicle with the number G 1261 D came from the Jakarta direction to Cirebon.

While passing the crime scene, the vehicle crashed into a tronton vehicle with the number R 1857 GC in front of it.

The tronton vehicle then crashed into another tronton vehicle with UEJ’s B 9010 copier in front of it.

“So the first tronton truck suddenly stopped due to the engine, after that the second tronton truck crashed, then it was Elf who hit it,” he said.

The Police have identified some of the accident victims who died at Km 78 + 500 Tol Cipali, on Monday (11/30/2020).

Meanwhile, there are eight identified victims. The victims were Kiswoyo (47), the elf driver residing in Pemalang and Ehwan Setiawan (43), a resident of Pekalongan, and passengers namely Afrizal (45) from Tanah Datar, Vina (25) from Pekalongan, Sumitri (60 ) from Pemalang, Saepudin (41) from Pekalongan, Sudirjo (46) from Pemalang and Rasbowibowo (55) from Pekalongan.

“Others are still being identified,” West Java Police Traffic Director Kombes Eddy Djunaedi said via short message.
