Edy relayed various reasons why he did not want to be examined and was called a witness. According to Edy, the denounced party in the case has passed away. Then he thought that the case should be finished and closed.

“I said, if article 77 of the Penal Code establishes that the defendant dies then the case is closed. So it’s over. ‘But you are the witness’, where are the witnesses, ‘You are an interview'”, said Edy imitating the conversation with the researcher. .

“First, I do not want to be examined because the accused is dead, article 77 of the Penal Code. Second, I am not a witness, I did not hear, I did not see, I did not know when the incident occurred,” he continued.

However, Edy eventually agreed to answer the investigators’ questions. However, Edy explained to investigators that he was only a journalist obtaining information from witnesses at the scene to make news.

Additionally, Edy said he respected the investigators and was ultimately willing to answer a series of questions. Edy said she answered a total of 26 questions.
