20 vessels owned by Asabri corruption suspects were seized, one of which is the largest in Indonesia

JAKARTA, KOMPAS.TV – The Attorney General’s Office (AGO) seized 20 boats in connection with the alleged corruption case of the Indonesian Armed Forces Social Security (Asabri).

All 20 vessels are assets of the suspect Heru Hidayat and are still operating in various parts of Indonesia.

Febrie Adriansyah, the Attorney General’s Deputy Director of Investigation for Special Crimes, said investigators are still trying to seize the suspects’ assets so far.

“Investigators are also working now to check their ships. Yesterday there were 20 ships in Samarinda, Batam, investigators are still in the field to see the status of each ship,” he said in Jakarta on Wednesday (10/2/2021) .

According to Febrie, the confiscated ships were of different types.

However, one of the 20 ships is Indonesia’s largest liquefied natural gas (LNG) carrier.
