jpnn.com, MALANG – Maulana Malik Ibrahim (Maliki) Islamic State University (UIN) Malang dissolved the Pagar Nusa pencak silat (UKM) Student Activities Unit.
The dissolution occurred after the incident of two students who died after participating in training for these activities.
UIN Malang Israqunnajah Deputy Director III for Student Affairs said the decision was made after a meeting with university leaders.
“We have student affairs guidelines, the points in the guidelines are enough for us. Organization or UKM Pagar Nusa, we are disbanding,” Israqunnajah said while giving a statement in Batu Police.
Previously, two students passed away while attending the Pagar Nusa Pencak Silat UKM admission training for new members.
The implementation of the training also does not have permission from the university.

They both died on Saturday (6/3), around 2:00 pm WIB, while attending Pagar Nusa pencak silat training in Coban Rais, Batu City.
