Flood and landslides struck hundreds of houses in Jalan Damai RT 04 / RW 02, Kelurahan Ciganjur, Jagakarsa, South Jakarta. As a result, around 1,200 residents were displaced.
The head of the Jakarta Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) Information and Data Center, Mohammad Insaf, said the Jakarta provincial government DKI has prepared three temporary locations for evacuation.
“There were about 1,200 refugees due to the floods and landslides in Ciganjur in three refugee camps,” Insaf said when confirmed, on Sunday (11/10).
Insaf said that according to information from the South Jakarta Fire and Rescue Agency (PKP), several heavy and official teams have been deployed since last night.
The units and personnel deployed included 1 command unit, 5 light rescue units and 5 PKs along with 35 people.
He said three people died in the incident. One victim died, a 45-year-old woman who was pregnant.
While the other two victims were women of 50 and 48 years, respectively. Both are currently being treated at Ali Sibroh Malisi Hospital, Jagakarsa, in South Jakarta.

Kelurahan officials noted that approximately 300 houses on RT 04 / RW 012 were flooded with heights ranging from 70 cm to 150 cm.
“It was not the embankment that collapsed, but resident Melati’s wall, which was on the edge of the Anak Setu River, that collapsed or slipped, thus blocking the flow of the Anak Setu River,” Alamsyah said.
He said the length of the collapsed wall reached 50 meters with a height of 10 meters from the top of the river.
Not only that, the wall dividing the residential river collapsed across the river until it hit the residential areas on the banks. Two people were injured and one person died when the flooding and landslide occurred.
Data on the death toll, Widiar Nohara (40), while the names of the two injured victims are not yet known, both are women of 50 and 48 years.
According to Alamsyah, the river dividing wall in the development sits vertically on steep terrain, so it cannot support the load when it rains.
