1.6 million workers fail to get IDR 1.2 million BLT: Okezone economy

JAKARTA – Social Security Administrator (BPJS) Employment / BP Jamsostek noted that there were 1.6 million worker account numbers crossed out from the list of 15.7 potential recipients of Rs 2.4 million wage subsidies. This is because it does not meet the criteria stipulated by the Minister of Labor Regulation (Permenaker) Number 14 of 2020.

“There are 1.6 million workers who are candidates for wage subsidies of Rp. 2.4 million, which we crossed out,” said BP Jamsostek Director Agus Susanto at the Okezone Stories event on Friday (4/9/2020 ).

He explained that the 1.6 million workers who were crossed out from this list had an average income or salary of 5 million IDR. Where workers who receive a wage subsidy of Rs 2.4 million only earn from a company of less than Rs 5 million.

“So, the average we cross out, they (the workers) already have a salary of Rp. 5 million,” he explained.

His party also outlined the conditions for workers who would receive a wage subsidy of IDR 2.4 million. Indonesian citizens first as evidenced by a population identification number. Second, be registered as an active participant in the BPJS Ketenagakerjaan employment social security program, as evidenced by a membership card number.

Then, third, workers or day laborers who receive wages / salaries. Fourth participation until June 2020.

“Five active participants of the employment social security program who pay contributions with the contribution amount calculated based on Salary / Salary below Rp. 5,000,000 according to the last salary / salary reported by the employer to BPJS Ketenagakerjaan and registered at BPJS Ketenagakerjaan. And finally have a bank account that is active, “he said.
