JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com – Up to 1.6 million workers are confirmed not to have received government wage subsidy assistance, despite data being sent to BPJS Ketenagakerjaan or BP Jamsostek.
According to the Managing Director of BPJS Ketenagakerjaan Agus Susanto, the data on 1.6 million applicants for salary subsidy assistance are not valid.
Agus said there were two reasons why the data on the 1.6 million potential recipients was not valid. First of all, the prospective aid recipient has a salary of more than Rs 5 million per month.
“I mentioned earlier that there was 1.6 million pieces of data that were invalid or could not be submitted because it did not meet the Permenaker criteria. Of these 1.6 million, we saw that 62 percent of salaries were above 5 crore. under Rp. 5 million, “he said via a virtual press conference on Tuesday (9/8/2020).

Second, the potential recipients of assistance have exceeded the membership limit for workers registered with BP Jamsostek, that is, on June 30, 2020.
“Then there’s the turnout after June 2020, that’s 38 percent,” Agus said.
Agus explained that employers or companies through the Human Resource Development Department (HRD) that are in charge of collecting and submitting data on wage subsidy recipients to BP Jamsostek, do not rank the data first.
“Why could this happen? Because some of these companies sent the names of their employees because it was difficult to distinguish which one was paid less than Rp. 5 million, which one was more than Rp. 5 million, it was finally sent quite a lot. Finally, our team (BPJS) was selected. Employment), “he said.

Furthermore, human rights defenders also do not classify the data of workers who are registered in BPJS Ketenagakerjaan until June 30, 2020.
As of September 8 at 0600 WIB, BP Jamsostek has received 14.5 million pieces of information on potential wage subsidy recipients. However, only 11.7 million account numbers were validated and it was considered that the data could be sent to the Ministry of Human Resources for reprocessing.
