1.1 trillion IDR to cancel liquid pre-employment incentives, here’s why!

Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia – The pre-employment card incentive worth Rs 1.1 trillion was canceled for disbursement to participants. This was because the manager revoked the status of 310,212 participants, which made them no longer able to obtain Pre-employment benefits.

Denni Purbasari, Executive Director of Implementation Management, explained that the 310,212 participants whose membership was revoked were participants from lot 1 to lot 7.

“So far 310 thousand people have been revoked. We, the executors, are waiting for the direction of the Committee, how many of these 310 thousand will be recovered and will become participants of the 11th batch of the Pre-employment Card. So we are still waiting for a decision, “Denni said in a video conference on Wednesday (10/14/2020).

As a percentage, the 310,212 people whose membership was revoked constitute a part of 5.54% of the total participants benefiting from the pre-employment card, which amounts to 5,597,179 participants.

This membership status is revoked because Previous Work Card participants have not purchased the training package after being declared approved. In the Permenko Regulation No. 11 of 2020, it is said that each recipient of the Pre-Employment Card has 30 days to purchase the first training since they received an SMS announcement of the Pre-Employment Card.

Each applicant who passes to become a pre-work participant will receive an incentive of IDR 3.55 million. If 310,212 people are multiplied by 3.55 million rupees, 1.1 trillion rupees in incentives will not be spent.

Rudy Salahuddin, head of the executive team of the job creation committee, said the budget that originated from the revoked membership had been returned to the state treasury.

“Those whose membership was revoked have been returned to the Ministry of Finance and the Job Creation Committee is waiting to see if the money will be returned for the next batch.”

The pre-employment card is a community preparation program for the world of work combined with social assistance (bansos). This program will consist of 5.6 million participants with a total budget of IDR 20 billion for this year.
