A YouTuber puts a new PS5 in the shredder.
While many gamers are still waiting to get their hands on Sony’s latest gaming console, the PlayStation 5, one YouTuber apparently had no qualms about putting his in an industrial shredder. A YouTube account by the name of Captain Crunch Experiments recently left people shocked and dismayed with a video showing a PS5 being destroyed by an industrial shredder. This even with the high demand for the game console, coupled with resellers buying readily available stocks, has ensured that people all over the world have a hard time buying the PS5.
The viral video of Captain Crunch shows him wrecking the console as an “experiment.”
“In this video I am shredding and destroying the new Sony Playstation 5, the ps5 controller, the power cables, the books, and also shredding the boxes it comes in. So you can see what’s inside a PlayStation 5,” he wrote while sharing the video.
The video, which has been viewed thousands of times on YouTube, left many viewers angry.
“I have a PS5, but it makes me angry that someone could have played it instead of just trashing it,” wrote one commenter.
The PS5 has yet to launch in India. Globally, its shortage has been attributed to the “scalper bot” software that resellers use to purchase products online and put them back on sale moments later with significant margins on eBay and Amazon Marketplace, according to a Reuters report.
