Navdeep’s father, Jai Singh Jalbera, is also charged in this FIR. The police have accused them of trying to run over the policemen with a high speed tractor car, breaking through police barricades.

It was learned that agitated farmers were finding it difficult to move to Delhi due to police barricades on the Ambala-Delhi highway amid the use of water cannons against protesters.

Suddenly the sources said: Navdeep jumped over the water cannon and moved the direction of the water pump towards the policemen. Finding an opportunity, a tractor-car moved towards the barricade to cross it and clear the way for the other farmers. After doing his homework, Navdeep also safely climbed onto this tractor-cart. Navdeep told The Indian Express that they were under attack for joining the farmers’ agitation. “We didn’t hurt anyone. We are simply fighting for our rights, ”said Navdeep, who graduated from Kurukshetra University in 2015.
