Paytm’s tweet comes as a result of Google removing the app from its Play Store for alleged violation of online gaming policies to promote its Paytm First Games fantasy gaming platform.

Paytm will not be available for download now, but there will be no impact on existing users of the app, PTI reported.

“The app was blocked for violating gaming policies, a clarification of our policy was released today ahead of the IPL tournament,” Google said in an emailed response on Friday.

Google also said that only the availability of the application in the Play Store is affected and there is no impact on users.
