Uttar Pradesh Prime Minister Yogi Adityanath on Friday credited the construction of the Ram Temple in Ayodhya to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, saying it was the prime minister who implemented Ram Rajya’s ideology.
“It is due to PM Modi’s planning and strategy that the Ram temple is being built in Ayodhya after a long wait of five decades,” Yogi said while addressing a meeting at Ram Katha park in Ayodhya.
Yogi said that Modi’s dream was to develop Ayodhya as the “Ramayana Vedic City” and that it should be the most beautiful city.
“Our generation is not only lucky enough to see the construction of the Ram temple begin here, but we also attend the historic event. In the 500-year struggle, many saints passed away with the dream of seeing the start of construction. I thank Prime Minister Modi, who is the one who implemented the Ram Rajya ideology, ”he said.
Yogi, UP Governor Anandiben Patel, and Deputy Prime Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya were in Ayodhya along with several UP ministers for the fourth Deepotsav celebrations.
This is the first Deepotsav celebration in Ayodhya after the Ram temple bhumi pujan on August 5 in which Modi was the main guest. But the participation of locals was restricted at all events due to Covid-19 and outsiders were banned from Ayodhya. “We all wanted to see the temple of Ram. This task has been carried out by PM Modi, ”Yogi said.
“Whenever I came to Ayodhya and talked about development, the saints used to ask me about the Ram temple,” said the chief minister.
“PM Modi came to Ayodhya even in Covid-19 following all protocols for bhumi pujan from Ram temple,” said the CM. Yogi said that Ayodhya’s brand is now through the Deepotsav event.
Yogi and Patel later launched a website, https://virtualdeepotsav.com, for people to virtually participate in Deepotsav. The CM also released a cover story on Deepotsav prepared by Ram Manohar Lohia Awadh University, Faizabad.
Without naming anyone, the CM attacked the previous state government.

“This government is developing panchi kosi, chaudah kosi and chaurasi kosi parikrama routes in Ayodhya. But previous governments used to ban them, “he said.
“This Deepotsav, an enlightenment record of 5.51 lakh diyas will be created. Next year this figure will be 7.51 lakh, ”he said.
The CM noted that due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the celebrations in this Deepotsav have been reduced. “Otherwise, the celebrations would have been organized on a large scale,” he said.
Yogi said that soon an international airport in Ayodhya will connect the temple city directly with Korea (South Korea) and other countries. He also announced that a road route from Ayodhya to Janakpur (in Nepal) and from Ayodhya to Chitrakoot will be put into operation soon.
Previously, replicating Lord Ram’s return journey to Ayodhya, along with his younger brother Lakshman and his wife Sita by a Pushpak Viman, the artists descended in a helicopter to Ram Katha Park in Ayodhya. Yogi and Patel met them and took them to the main place in the park.

Just as Bharat welcomed Lord Ram upon his return to Ayodhya after his 14 year exile and the assassination of the demon king Ravan, Yogi and others performed a ceremony symbolizing ‘Raj Tilak’ or the coronation of Lord Ram and the Goddess Sita.
The Deepotsav celebrations began in Ayodhya with a procession of pictures from Saket College to Ram Katha Park depicting Ram’s return to Ayodhya from exile.
