At a review meeting with senior officials here, Adityananth asked them to prepare a list of people trapped in other states and to have completed the 14-day quarantine there so that they can gradually return home.
“Uttar Pradesh will bring back its trapped workers in other states. Workers who have completed the 14-day quarantine there should be gradually returned,” the chief minister said in an official statement.
“The workers, after being brought to the UP border by the states involved after detection and testing, will be sent to their villages. But first, they will be quarantined in their districts for 14 days. For this, they must be done fixes and places need to be disinfected, “said the prime minister.
Those who have completed the 14-day quarantine in the state should be sent home with rations and 1,000 rupees, he said.
The decision was made to send two senior officers to districts that have 20 or more coronavirus cases. These officers will camp there for a week and will ensure that the closure is strictly followed, Adityanath said at the review meeting.
Stressing that the spread of infections in hospitals and medical centers must be prevented, the prime minister said that personal protective equipment kits, N-95 masks and disinfectants should be made available to verify this.
He said that the “identification of the critical points” and the policy in this regard are proving to be effective and that this “Uttar Pradesh model” is becoming popular in the country.
“It must be ensured that public movement is fully restricted in critical areas and that only medical teams and sanitation workers should visit,” said Adityanath.
