Lucknow: Uttar Pradesh Prime Minister Yogi Adityanath stressed on Saturday (May 9) the need to understand the “chemistry of the crown while administering its treatment”.
The prime minister chaired a high-level meeting of UP government officials at his residence here to review the situation that emerged from the coronavirus outbreak in the state.
“The need is to understand the chemistry of the crown, while administering its treatment,” he said.
Claiming that boosting the body’s level of immunity can prevent infection, Adityanath said the ‘Aayush Kavach COVID’ app launched by the state government has a wealth of information about Ayurveda that people can adopt to boost their immunity.
He added that the app should be widely publicized and people should be encouraged to download it.
The UP prime minister also emphasized working on all income-generating possibilities and ordered officials to prepare a plan to identify alternative sources of income.
She said that an elaborated work plan should be formulated to make employment available to migrant workers, and that women’s self-help groups should receive large-scale training. Members of these self-help groups must be trained to make clothes and sweaters, he added.
“Food grains were made available to 18 million people in three phases. This is great work. The recovery rate for COVID-19 patients is 42 percent, compared to the national average of 29.2 percent, “said Adityanath.
The prime minister also stated that provisions have been made for 53,400 beds to improve the capacity of COVID hospitals in the state.
He also claimed that UP tops the list in terms of group testing.
The prime minister has ordered a special campaign for the effective prevention of malaria, dengue and other diseases, said a statement issued by the state government.
Adityanath also ordered that cow shelters should be linked to income generation and that the manure should be made from cow manure.
He added that the geotagging work of quarantine centers in the state should be accelerated.
“People returning from foreign countries should be screened and receive medical treatment as needed,” said Adityanath, calling on senior officials to personally monitor the blockade and ensure their strict adherence.
