Jain further said that Xiaomi is only a multinational based in China. “We are a multinational distributed in multiple regions worldwide. People from different parts of the world work together on Xiaomi. When it comes to Xiaomi’s business in India, the entire leadership team of Xiaomi India are Indians and are based in India. We are like any other Indian company with local servers to store data and local manufacturing. We work with the central government together with all state governments. Xiaomi India employs around 50,000 people in all roles in the country who are Indians. ”
