At the end of last month, Xiaomi took the wraps off the Mi 11, the world’s first smartphone to be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 888 chipset. Today, the company had its first sale of the device in its local China market, and it looks like it was a resounding success.
Xiaomi managed to sell more than 350,000 Mi 11 units in just five minutes. The total value of those exceeded 1.5 billion CNY. We assume that people in China have become convinced of the incredible relationship between the specifications and the price of the phone and we hope that Xiaomi will launch it in other countries very soon.
The Mi 11 has a 6.81-inch AMOLED 1440p 120 Hz touchscreen that earned an A + rating from DisplayMate, a triple rear camera setup with a 108 MP main shooter, a 13 MP ultrawide, and a 5 MP macro camera, a 20 MP selfie built into the punched hole of the screen, 8/12 GB of RAM, 128/256 GB of storage and a 4,600 mAh battery with 55W wired fast charge and 50W wireless fast charge. The Mi 11 runs Android 11 with MIUI 12.5 on top.
