Xiaomi is set to launch the Mi 10T phones in India later today. The phones will launch in the country after first appearing on the world stage on September 30. To celebrate the launch of the device in India, Xiaomi is hosting a launch event for the device at 12pm in India today.
Scheduled to take place virtually, this event will see Xiaomi launch the Mi 10T series, which will be populated by up to two phones. For those interested, Xiaomi will share the live broadcast of the launch through YouTube and other social media profiles.
Before arriving in India, the two phones were already unveiled in China and Europe. In the latter, the Mi 10T 5G is available at 499 euros for the 6GB + 128GB variant and 549 euros for the 8GB + 128GB variant. On the other hand, the Mi 10T Pro 5G costs 599 euros for the 8GB + 128GB variant and 649 euros for the 8GB + 256GB variant. In India, the price of the phone has been leaked ahead of launch, and the device is expected to start selling at Rs 44,999 in the country.
The European launch of the device has also given us a decent idea about the specifications the device will have in India. As such, the Mi 10T Pro 5G could feature a 6.67-inch FullHD + IPS LCD display with a 144Hz refresh rate. The phone is expected to be powered by Snapdragon 865+ SoC with up to 8GB of RAM and 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage. For the battery, users will get a 5000 mAh pack with 33W fast charging. There will also be a 108 megapixel rear camera system on the phone that will be paired with 13 megapixel and 5 megapixel lenses, with optical stabilization, recording of 8K video, dual video mode and more.
The Mi 10T 5G is expected to be a toned down version of the Pro model, the Mi 10T smartphone brings a 64-megapixel camera system instead of a 108-megapixel rear camera system. The cameras will include a 13-megapixel ultra-wide camera and a 5-megapixel macro camera. The rest of the characteristics of the Mi 10T smartphone will be similar to those of its older brother, the Mi 10T Pro model.
Furthermore, both the Mi 10T and the Mi 10T Pro also get 3D audio recording and 3D audio playback. They will also come equipped with Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection that also includes the camera lenses, and an antibacterial case and layers of screen protection that will come with the phones.
