Xiaomi Mi 10 Youth teasers show eye-catching color variants

Xiaomi has something ready for April 27. If the rumor is to be believed, we can look forward to MIUI 12, along with another member of the Mi 10 family. The latter is expected to be a variant of the European Mi 10 Lite 5G, intended for the Chinese market and possibly including an impressive update to the camera.

Unfortunately, this new leak does not offer much real hardware information and cannot shed light on possible specification changes. What it does offer is an official look at all the color options for the upcoming phone, purportedly titled My 10 Youth.

Another preview shows a potential fifth color: Black Chocolate Storm will join Blue Berry, Green Tea, Orange Storm, and Pink Peach. However, there is no image that goes with that.

Examining all the leaked banners, we clearly have the feel of a product aimed at a younger audience. In case that wasn’t evident from its automatically translated title, but it’s probably still a pretty accurate title. Looking at the phone’s specs, we know the new variant will be 7.88mm thick, weighing 200 grams and should run MIUI 12.

As we already mentioned, the Mi 10 Youth Edition is expected to be almost identical to the Mi 10 Lite, including the 5G-enabled Snapdragon 765G chipset. That said, we can’t help but mention a persistent rumor about the Mi 10 Youth Edition, involving an alleged periscope camera and 50x zoom capabilities. Frankly though, the latter seems a little too optimistic. Especially since we expect the Mi 10 Youth Edition to be the cheapest 5G device to date, within the Xiaomi family.
