Xiaomi is the only smartphone OEM to release weekly versions of software for its devices. In the announcement post of this week’s builds on Mi Community China, the company confirmed the Android 11 update for various Xiaomi and Redmi phones as of 2019.
Xiaomi unveiled MIUI 12 at the end of April. Since then, the world’s third-largest smartphone maker has updated its devices to the latest version of its mobile software. As of now, the company’s select budget, mid-range and flagship phones have received the update. Only certain budget and older phones have yet to be updated.
On the other hand, the 2020 premium devices that have been updated to MIUI 12 have also started receiving Android 11 update. Therefore, the company now revealed the next batch of phones that will receive the latest version of Android.

The smartphones mentioned below will start to receive MIUI 12 beta builds based on Android 11 once the program continues after its temporary stop.

- Redmi Note 8 Pro
- Redmi K20 Pro / Mi 9T Pro
- Redmi K30S Ultra
- My CC9 / Mi 9 Lite
- Edition Mi CC9 Meitu
- We 9 SE
- Wed 9
- Mi 9 Pro
With that said, you’re not sure when the Android 11 builds for the phones mentioned above will be released. Because the company has discontinued beta program for a non-specific period of time starting next week before the release of MIUI 12.5.
Regardless, even after the company starts releasing those builds, the final stable update for different regions can take time to arrive.
Note: Redmi K30 4G, POCO X2, Redmi K30 5G, Mi CC9 Pro, Mi CC9 Pro Premium Edition, Mi Note 10 and Mi 10 Pro from 2019 are also eligible for the Android 11 update. These phones have been receiving beta versions of MIUI 12 based on Android 11 for a few months.
