Former cricketers and pundits praised the Mumbai Indians as one of the best T20 teams in the world after MI claimed their fifth IPL title by recording an easy five-wicket victory over Delhi Capitals in the IPL final. 2020 in Dubai on Tuesday.

The Mumbai bowlers, led by Trent Boult (3-30), laid the groundwork for their sweeping victory by restricting Delhi to a 156-7 below par.
Mumbai captain Rohit Sharma scored a breezy 68 and Ishan Kishan made 33 that were not eliminated, as they prevailed with eight balls to spare for their fourth win against Delhi this season.

Playing his first IPL final against the tournament’s most successful team, Delhi, coached by Australian great Ricky Ponting, needed a strong start, but was reeling at 22-3 instead in the fourth over.
Boult fired fit Marcus Stoinis with the first delivery, while Shikhar Dhawan, the other starter, lost his wicket to spinner Jayant Yadav trying to make a sweep.
Skipper Shreyas Iyer (65 not out) and Rishabh Pant (56) stabilized the innings, but Delhi failed to get a late flourish and settled for a score that Mumbai easily chased after.
Quinton de Kock fell for 20 and Suryakumar Yadav (19) sacrificed his wicket after a confusion with Rohit, but Mumbai was hardly tested in his pursuit.
Rohit shrugged off the twin setbacks and broke four sixes on his lighthearted slam before hollowing out with victory in sight.
Delhi’s Kagiso Rabada finished as the IPL’s top wicket receiver with 30 scalps, ahead of Mumbai duo Jasprit Bumrah (27) and Boult (25).
